unbleachedbrun@aol.com BioHowdy! I'm Unbleached Brun, an Okie who's been living in the Nation's Capital since December 2004. I'm a writer, editor, musician, and consultant on law and legal history and on American Indian affairs, and for my "day job" I'm an academic administrator at a major national university in the District of Columbia. My previous careers have included being a federal program manager, college professor, tribal court judge, lawyer, opera singer, church musician, and restaurant critic.
The red star is Washington, D.C.
The blue dot is my hometown.
You'll find my blog an eclectic mix of mundane but uncensored daily events, performing arts and restaurant reviews, and social and political commentary. Sometimes I feel like a lone voice in the wilderness, since I'm a politically moderate Republican and a so-called "mainstream Christian" in a world of left and right extremists. The professor in me, though, compels me to write, if only to "correct" the record.
